AMIRATE-AMERICA:  THE VEHICLE

Amirate-America is an idea whose time has come. Amirate-America is a God-given inspiration.

Whatever good comes upon man, it is from Allah. No sincere Muslim can deny the goodness embodied in Amirate-America.

We begin by quoting the hadith of Abu Musa (RA) who reported that the Messenger of Allah (SAWS) said: A good and a bad companion were like the bearer of musk and one who pumps out filth. As for the bearer of musk, he will either give you a share or you will get perfumed air from him; or you will purchase something from him. And as for the one who pumps out filth, he will either burn your clothes or you will feel the filthy smell from him. (Agreed upon by Bukhari & Muslim)

By analogy, Muslims who are trying to practice Islam while living among non-believers (living as minorities within their cities and communities) are like people trying to wash white clothes clean in muddy water! It is an impossible task!

Muslims NEED Amirate-America. Amirate-America is an inspired concept whose time has come.

Abu Dharr (RA) relates that he came to the Prophet (SAWS), who was sitting in the shade of the Ka`aba. When he saw me he said: "They stand to lose." I said: "May my parents ransom you. To whom do you refer?" He said: "To those with excess of riches. Those who just squander their wealth, heedless of the fact that they can be saved only if they spend generously for a good cause. And there are very few wealthy men of that ilk." (Bukhari & Muslim)

All Muslims know that Islam is not a religion, it is a God-mandated way-of-life for humanity! Yet
Allah gives each person this choice to make on his/her own! Therefore, for Muslims living in America Islam is more than a religion, it becomes a Cause struggling toward an Existential Reality, which is embodied in Amirate-America! Logically speaking: The establishment of Amirate-America becomes a duty for all Muslims who WISH TO LIVE, DAY-BY-DAY, AS MUSLIMS, without the destructive influences of the non-Muslim society upon them and their children.

American Muslims have great wealth and it is incumbent upon those with excess wealth to spend it, IN THIS LAND, in the way of Allah for the benefit of Muslims/Islam in America: truly fisabil lillaah.

NOW I ask you, the noble reader, to bear with me while I give the following short discourse, which may appear to be off of the subject at hand. Bear with me because I am intending to make a very important Islamic point, which is dearly relevant to the success of Amirate-America.

The revealed facts point to the mountains of irrefutable evidence and voluminous written proofs that "black" Africans traveled to, settled and established their presence in the Americas an aeon prior to the establishment of Islam in Arabia! Black African (primarily Mandingo) blood exists throughout the southern regions of North America, and is particularly recognizable throughout Mexico, Central and South America.

It is proven that Islam has been in North America for over 1000 years, yet it has only been in the past 100 years that Islam has "surfaced" as a viable entity to be defined by its adherents. Many people have brought Islam with them to America, beginning with the Early Muslim African & Arab Adventures, followed by Moors, some of whom brought the Spaniards to America, followed by the importations of African Muslim prisoners to serve as slaves. And finally, in the last century, Muslim immigrants from Asia, Africa and Europe, have come adding to the efforts of indigenous African-Native-American-Muslims. Just as surely as the Vikings brought the cattle to North America, ALL of the above named Muslims are directly responsible for the growing development of an Islamic Presence in America today.

Let me quote a few passages from Ivan Van Sertima's "They Came Before Columbus" (Bear with me):

On page 236 Ivan Van Sertima says::
"A moorish ship seems to have crossed the Atlantic around A.D. 800…………….."

Also on page 226 he says:
"……(Arabic words in Africa, Asia and Europe for the maize plant, as well as seventy-seven clan names and place names [are] shared by the Berbers of North Africa and a group pf American Indian tribes)."

Also on page 226 he says:
"We shall see, however, from our examination of this evidence that the Arabs returned home rather than settling in America, and hence, like the Vikings, left very negligible influence upon aboriginal Americans. We shall discover also such a strong Negroid element among the Arab-African mariners, an element numerically if not politically dominant, that as a consequence, there are no skeletal remains or traces of cultural influence in America that can be distinguished from the earlier or later African-Negro presence with but one single exception. This exception is in the area of family and tribal names. And here we shall see the very strong possibility that the shared nomenclatures of the North African Berbers and a number of American aboriginal tribes were as much a result of journeys by Americans to Africa as the reverse. Of these journeys by Americans to the Old World there are four documented instances, and the American aborigines, unlike the Arabs, lacked the capacity to return home, thereby leaving a marked influence through settlement, which influence extends beyond a linguistic to a physical and architectural presence in some Berber villages."

On page 27 Ivan Van Sertima says::
"It is hard for many to imagine the Negro-African figure being venerated as a god among the American Indians. He has always been represented as the lowliest of the low, at least since the era of conquest and slavery. His humiliation as a world figure begins, in fact, with the coming of Columbus (who was the first to institute slavery in the Americas, even against the wishes of the Spanish Sovereigns). It was in the very decade of his "discoveries" that the black and white Moors were laid low."

[ES: A reading of Ivan Van Sertima's "The Golden Age of the Moor" (1992), which is a book compiling scholarly treatises, in explicit detail (including pictures), by approximately twelve (12) World Class Scholars identifying The Moor, will surely answer many questions and put to rest many false assertions.] Also: If you can, get your hands on a copy of: "History of the Conquest of Spain by the Arab-Moors", in two volumes, (1881) by Henry Coppee.]

NOW let us explain what just happened:

The scant annals of History (of which we know about) has proven that no people are inherently superior nor inferior to any others. Man is man!!! Amirate-America is the Vehicle by which the Muslim (man and woman) can once again bring the excellence of God-ordained faith to the world. A Faith of Submission, Love and Tolerance by Example. Those among us who are embracing and nurturing the corrupting enemy of bigotry and racism within themselves are our greatest enemies. Amirate-America is the vehicle to take us towards soul purification a a rebirth of Islamic life as it ought to be.

"Mankind! We created you from a male and female, and made you into nations and tribes so that you might come to know each other (not that you may despise and hate each other). The most honorable among you in the sight of Allah is the one with the most taqwah (i.e. pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much and abstain from all kinds of sinful acts and evil deeds which He has forbidden, and who love Allah much and perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained). Allah is All Knowing, All Aware." The Noble Qur'aan: 49:13

"And among His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference (variety) of your languages and colors. Verily, in that are indeed Signs for men (men & women) of sound knowledge (and intelligence)." The Noble Qur'aan: 30:22

The slogan for the United States of America is E Pluribus Unam (from many, one). It is for American Muslims to truly exemplify this America slogan, which, in reality, is only skin-color deep attitude!

I say to you today, that we are Muslims. We are Americans. We are American Muslims. Thus, we have the right shared by all "American religious and or ethnic groupings" to develop a niche for our collective selves within the borders of this country.

Some people are of the "romantic" notion that some Muslim Americans should run to some other country for safety and survival. I say, as in the last Prevailing Issues article, "there is no place to run". Nor should we allow our mindset to be molded into that disasterous way of thinking. Allah, subHaana wa ta`alaa, in His infinite wisdom has placed us Muslims in this land. If Allah wants us to leave this land, He will surely guide us to His decision. And that is a decision for Him alone. It is not a decision to be arrived at by leaders who are themselves struggling to find their way!

Yes, America has its problems. It has its social diseases. But just as with each individual human body, when an illness is discovered, we seek a way to "fix" it. So it is with the "body" of our nation. The Nation is, as with the human body, susceptible to disease, and our job is to seek ways and means of "curing" the national body of each and every disease, which may afflict her. This is our destiny. Amirate-America is our vehicle.

Not withstanding all of her faults, I, for one, am grateful that Allah, in His infinite wisdom, deemed to make me a Muslim inhabitant of this land, in this time, with the freedom of choice. He could have done otherwise, for all power is His, and His power is not shared with any other being.

In this rcurrent age of Organization, which goes back almost 100 years, Muslim Americans have utilized "home meetings", development of masajid, centers and ribats, etc. All of these institutions were, and did, serve their purpose; of our social and spiritual development as Muslims. They, in themselves, can take us no further.
